The Cannabis Beverages of Massachusetts

The hot new thing in Massachusetts is best served cold. As summer approaches, beverage lovers will have some very excellent new options to choose from. The promise is no more hangovers. All thanks to the rise of cannabis beverages we are beginning to witness here in the Bay State.

Each brand of beverage has its own story. Some of the companies share hometown roots like us. One comes all the way from California. All have one thing in common. It’s an adult beverage to change your mindset without alcohol.

Buzz terms make these new offerings fun. Social tonic makes a clear case for what to expect. Cannabis infused seltzers and sodas bring a familiar vibe many will enjoy. Sparkling cannabis beverages lifts the spirit.

We celebrate all cannabis beverages here in Massachusetts. All of this is a brand new reality as of the past few years. Let’s take a look at what makes each one of them special.

SIP - CommCan Inc.

This is the first cannabis-infused soda ever sold for adult consumption in Massachusetts. 100% all natural, fresh lemon juice, real cane sugar, no artificial flavors, no preservatives, vegan, and gluten free. These beverages are 5 mg of THC - which is the most THC allowed in an adult beverage outside the medical program.

Self-described as “a highly sessionable experience”, SIP suggests replacing your favorite craft cocktail with friends or to enjoy it by yourself after a long day. Their promise is that you will “find your cloud”.

SIP is produced exclusively in-house by The Commonwealth Cannabis Company. And that’s exactly where an interested, thirsty person can pick one up. Consumers can expect to feel the effects in 15-30 minutes. Their flagship flavor is lemon soda.

Hi5 - Theory Wellness

Water, bubbles, and lots of magic! This drink is a brand new cannabis infused seltzer that was announced February 2021. Zero-calories, all natural fruit flavors, 5 mg of THC from locally grown cannabis, and rapid on-set effects. This cannabis drink aims to take away the waiting game of consuming edibles at social gatherings.

Hi5 brings 6 flavors for beverage lovers to consider, Pomegranate, Black Cherry, Grapefruit, Peach Mango, Lemon, and Lime.

As CEO of Theory Wellness, Brandon Pollock said, “Massachusetts has long been a leader in the beverage market, with Sam Adams launching the craft beer movement, Polar seltzers, even going back to the Boston Tea Party! We’re excited to continue that legacy.”

Levia - Cultivauna, LLC

Elevated experiences are the promise of this cannabis-infused social seltzer. Made with natural flavors, zero calories, and zero sugar. Levia is “crafted with premium ingredients and a superior process”. This beverage also comes with 5 mg of THC.

An experience is tied to each flavor. Achieve is raspberry lime flavored and gets named a sativa blend. Celebrate tastes like lemon lime and is referred to as a hybrid blend. Dream brings the “sweetness of jam berry” and is offered as an indica blend.

Levia is produced by Cultivauna, LLC in Georgetown, MA. These three experiences can be found all over Massachusetts. They’re made “for people seeking general wellness and responsible amusement”.

Cann

Cann refers to themselves as “the future of social drinking”. Social tonics made with all-natural ingredients, fewer empty calories, and reportedly no regret. It’s microdosed with cannabis in a THC and CBD combination.

Cann offers three flavors in pastel colored cans. Lemon lavender comes in yellow. Blood Orange Cardamom comes in orange. And, Grapefruit Rosemary comes in pink. They also have social tonic liquid packets that can be added to water or another beverage.

As of March 2021, they are not available in Massachusetts. That is expected to change. Their home is in California. They just partnered with multi-state operator, Green Thumb Industries (GTI), to expand this year.

Good Feels is coming this summer.

That’s us!

As summer approaches, we will all benefit from some time warm rays and fresh air. At Good Feels, our eyes are set on being on shelves for summer. We want to look back on this summer someday and think, “That was the summer when things started to feel good again.”

For many, it will be the first time they try a cold, cannabis drink on a hot day. We hope it’s ours. Right now, it looks like we will all get that opportunity. And that in itself is a step in the right direction.

So enjoy your drinks and stay safe. We’ll see you in the summertime!
